Can you briefly describe your company and your main area of business?

More than a company, Mühlhäuser is deeply rooted in the german food culture. We are famously known for our unique plum jam, still being produced at our traditional location in Thuringia. While we honor these traditions, Mühlhöuser is always interested in modern solutions to ensure good taste for our customers. Therefore, we have added a modern second production plant in Mönchengladbach to produce a wide range of jams and fruit spreads, meeting our high quality standards.

What made you consider Food Radar Systems, and how did you evaluate the investment?

At Mühlhäuser, ensuring a consistently high quality standard to guarantee the contentment of our customers is our top guiding principle. Therefore, we were looking for a solution, to control the risk of foreign bodies in our product. Our main criteria was to find an application, that can assure the detection of the wide range of foreign bodies that can possibly appear in our production process. We decided for Food-Radar, as the detection method gives us an advantage, for example with the rejection of floating contaminants, compared to common systems. The professional and competent advice from Food Radar Systems and the adjustments, to make the application fit right into out production plant supported us in this decision.

What have been the most notable results or improvements since implementing our system?

We figured out that implementing the Food Radar System helped us to achieve an even higher product quality. The rejection of organic contaminants, that can technically unavoidable appear during the production process (fruit seeds and stones, stems, immature fruit, sugar and pectine pieces) helps us to reach more consistant properties for our fruit spreads. Anorganic foreign bodies, like residues from packaging materials, are reliably rejected through the Food Radar System. As a result, we saw a decrease in the number of complaints, which indicates, that the Food Radar Systems helps us to ensure the safety and satisfy the demands of our customers.

How was your experience with our service, support, and the integration of the system into your production line?

During the whole process from considering the system till installing the applecation and implementing it in our production plant, we were pleased by the way the cooperation with Food Radar Systems is working.
