Andrés Fernández, Deputy Quality Manager

Can you briefly describe your company and your main area of business?

Marín Giménez is a company specialized in fruit processing. The company’s main objective is to produce the highest quality products with the maximum level of safety standards whilst maintaining competitiveness. Marín Giménez currently supplies its products to the dairy, beverage, marmalade, and baby food sectors.

What made you consider Food Radar Systems, and how did you evaluate the investment?

We decided to consider Food Radar Systems because we wanted to improve our capabilities to detect certain low-density foreign objects—like fruit stones, seeds, or pieces of plastic—that traditional metal detectors and X-ray machines couldn’t identify. We wanted a solution that would help us raise our food safety standards, especially for our apricot, peach, and mandarin products, where these issues are most common. To evaluate the investment, we ran practical tests with our own products and contaminants. The results were convincing: the system consistently detected the types of foreign bodies we were most concerned about. After seeing these results firsthand, it became clear that investing in this technology was the right move to protect both our customers and our image.

What have been the most notable results or improvements since implementing our system?

Since implementing the Food Radar system, we’ve seen a marked improvement in our ability to detect and remove problematic foreign objects. The number of incidents involving fruit stones and soft plastics has dropped significantly, and we’ve noticed a real difference in the consistency of our product quality. Customer complaints related to foreign bodies have decreased as well, which is reassuring. The positive impact has been so clear that we’ve decided to invest in another Food Radar unit for a different production line this year.

How was your experience with our service, support, and the integration of the system into your production line?

Our experience with Food Radar’s service and support has honestly been excellent. From the very beginning, their team was proactive and attentive, making sure they understood our specific needs and challenges. The installation process was smooth and well-organized, and we were able to integrate the system into our production line without any major disruptions. Their technical staff provided thorough training for our operators, which really helped everyone feel confident using the new equipment. What has impressed us most is the ongoing support—they’re always available when we have questions or need advice, and they genuinely seem invested in our success. Thanks to this positive experience, we felt confident moving forward with a second Food Radar system for another line. It’s been a partnership that has added real value to our operations, and we look forward to continuing to work together.
