Meet our team at Tomato Congress 2026. Food Radar will showcase the latest within detection of plastic and other low-density foreign bodies.

What is your foreign body challenge?
Put us to the test
When we talk about low-density foreign bodies, we mean materials such as soft and hard plastic, glove fragments, wood, fruit stones, and rubber. These are notoriously difficult to detect with traditional methods — but with Food Radar’s® unique microwave-based technology, they can be reliably identified.
In discussions with customers, these contaminants are the most common concerns. Food Radar® is not a replacement for existing systems but a powerful complement, adding a new layer of protection. Every project begins with a Proof of Concept study, often revealing the full potential of combining detection technologies.

Foreign bodies are detected by transmitting low-power microwaves through the food product.
The system uses a microwave sensor designed to measure the dielectric properties of the food flowing through your processing equipment.

Foreign bodies produce a deviation from the norm, activating a very fast pneumatic rejection unit controlled by a proprietary automatic algorithm.
Since implementing Food Radar, we’ve seen significant improvements. Most notably, we’ve had zero incidents involving foreign objects in our products.
